Wow whats the actual crime here I'm sure everyone pays there property Tax on time. Someone needs to look into the actions of Ryan. I'm going with Klund. This is a desprate act of a man who I consider to be nothing more then a yes man.

If Klund doesn't win the election I am sure Charley Dooley ..will hire him.

I guess this law doesn't apply in this case.. Missouri Statute 115.342, which states, "Any person who files as a candidate for election to a public office shall be disqualified from participation in the election for which the candidate has filed (if) such person is delinquent in the payment of any ... personal property taxes.

That statute only applies to municipal office, it doesn't apply to fire boards. It also states you have 30 days to comply.

I'd also like to know how the Call newspaper knew of the petition filed to have Mr. Klund removed before Mr. Klund knew. So much for non-biased journalism. (Actually made me sick to refer to "The Call" as a newspaper).

Bywun, If my vacuum cleaners sucked as much..as Mikey Klund does I'd be a Millionaire.
John Dough February 04, 2013 at 12:26 PM
Oh...It's alright then Tom. I am not sure i would like some one in charge of millions of dolars of taxpayer money who cna't find his check book to pay his personal propety taxes.
John Dough February 04, 2013 at 12:26 PM
I hate it when a reporter does a story based on the fact. Ruins everything for me..
Tom Arrow February 04, 2013 at 06:27 PM
John I'm sure I'd rather have someone in charge of MY taxpayer dollars who's not already spending/spent MILLIONS on frivolous lawsuits, exorbitant payouts and excessive/needless landscaping. Your point John D is invalid.
John Dough February 06, 2013 at 12:20 PM
Ineptitude is always rendered invalid in Politics.
Tom Arrow February 07, 2013 at 03:30 AM
Very profound John D.....I'm glad you finally agree with me.

Since when did paying taxes or bills on time mean anything? Mehlville School Board member Rich Franz, the "taxpayer's" best friend, has only paid his personal property taxes on time once since 2002. For 10 out of the last 11 years our most fiscally responsible and "transparent" school board member has paid over $200 dollars in penalties and interest to St. Louis County.(all of this information is on the County Department of Revenue website) We trust him with a multi-million dollar budget. Why is this even an issue for Klund?

115.342 applies to neither municipalites nor special districts. http://www.callnewspapers.com/Articles-Impact-News-i-2013-02-20-265385.112112-Updated-Klund-will-remain-on-ballot-in-fire-district-race.html
