Mehlville Man Faces Child Molestation Charges

St. Louis County Police said the man also failed to register as a sex offender after he moved to Mehlville

A previously convicted sex offender faces new charges after St. Louis County Police said he molested a 7-year-old child.

Fletcher M. Pryor, 49, of , was charged June 19 with molesting a child, first-degree statutory sodomy, attempted first-degree statutory sodomy, furnishing pornography to a minor and failure to register as a sex offender.

According to a St. Louis County Police report, Pryor had deviate sexual intercourse between June 6, 2011 and June 6, 2012 by placing his hand on the child’s genitals and attempting to force her to touch his genitals.

Police also said he showed the child a pornographic movie of a couple having sex.

Pryor also did not register with St. Louis County Police when he moved from Cadet, MO to Mehlville. He was required to do so because he pleaded guilty May 25, 2000 to abuse of a child, attempted abuse of a child and sexual misconduct involving a child age 14 or younger.

He is being held in St. Louis County jail in lieu of a $150,000.
