Man Faces Fifth DWI After Traffic Stop at Lindbergh and Lemay Ferry

Timothy Ohlman of Mehlville is charged with DWI as a chronic offender, a class B felony.

A Mehlville man faces his fifth driving while intoxicated charge after being stopped April 17 at Lemay Ferry Road and South Lindbergh Blvd.

Timothy Ohlman, 51, of the 4500 block of Evergreen Lane, was charged with DWI as a chronic offender, a class B felony.

St. Louis County Police said an officer pulled Ohlman’s car over because he failed to stay in one lane and was driving erratically. The officer said Ohlman’s speech was slurred, he smelled strongly of alcohol, swayed when he walked and showed other signs of being drunk.

Police said Ohlman failed a sobriety test, was arrested and refused a Breathalyzer test.

Ohlman has four previous DWI convictions. He was convicted of DWI once each in 2004 and 1997 and twice in 2000.

Ohlman is being held in St. Louis County jail. Bail was set at $50,000, cash only.
