Meth-Making Materials Found During Welfare Check, Police Said

Police also located a fake dictionary with a hidden compartment that contained paraphernalia and a white powder that could possibly be cocaine.

Police arrested a suspect for possession of materials used to make methamphetamines at a home on the 3600 block of Weber Road Aug. 17.

The Division of Family Services went to the home on a welfare check. While there, pseudoephedrine pills, cold packs, Coleman camp fuel, tubing and other chemicals used to make meth were discovered, police said.

Police also located a fake dictionary with a hidden compartment that contained paraphernalia and a white powder that could possibly be cocaine.

Police arrested the resident and will continue to investigate the incident.
