North County Man Arrested For Bank Robbery

Sahib Shihab Lewis was charged with robbery in the first degree and armed criminal action.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged Sahib Shihab Lewis, 33, with robbery in the first degree and armed criminal action Tuesday following . Lewis, from North County, is currently being held on $100,000 bond.

Lewis was taken into custody shortly after police responded to an armed bank robbery call Monday at 10:48 a.m. at the First Missouri Credit Union located at 1690 Lemay Ferry Road. No one was injured.

The Metro Air Support Unit Heliopter was brought in, allowing officers to locate the car less than 15 minutes later. The money and weapon was recovered in the car.
