Oakville Man Pleads Guilty to Fraud

Terry Tonsing, Jr. plead guilty to defrauding his Fenton-based company, C2 Communications.

An Oakville man plead guilty to fraud, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Thursday.

Terry Tonsing Jr., of the 2100 block of Cliff Cave Crossing Court, pled guilty to one count of felony mail fraud from actions against his company, C2 Communications in Fenton. C2 Communications is a marketing and public relations firm.

Court documents show between 2003 and February 2007, Tonsing defrauded C2 Communications by using his company debit card for his personal food, travel, entertainment and for the mortgage on Oakville his residence. To conceal his actions, Tonsing had the statements sent to his home.

The total loss to C2 Communications is approximately $68,000 according to a release from the U.S. Justice Department.

Tonsing’s sentencing is set for Feb. 24. Mail fraud carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison with fines up to $250,000.
