Retired Lemay Fire Protection Captain Dies at 62

Retired Captain Schuessel, 62, died December 28, 2012 after a long illness. Captain Schuessel served the Lemay Fire Protection District, with 36 years of service.

The Lemay Fire Protection District released the following information about the death on of retired Captain Joe Schuessel:

It is with sadness that the Lemay Fire Protection District announces
the death of Retired Captain Joe Schuessel.

Retired Captain Schuessel, 62, died December 28, 2012 after a long
illness. Captain Schuessel served the Lemay Fire Protection District,
with 36 years of service.

Visitation will be held Sunday December 30, 2012 from 1400-2000 hours at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis Mo 63125.

Visitation with Fire Department honors will be held Monday December
31, 2012 from 8 a.m. until time of funeral service at the funeral home.
Services will conclude at the funeral home.

Fire Department honors will be provided by members of the Lemay Fire
Protection District.

Memorials may be made to Backstoppers or Responder Rescue.
