Officer Tracks Tanning Salon Robber, Recovers Money

Police said Officer Brad Hollenback located a suspect fleeing a robbery at Glow Co Tan on Lemay Ferry Road and arrested him without incident.

A man robbed Glow Co Tan on Lemay Ferry Road last week, but a St. Louis County Police Department officer quickly found the fleeing suspect, arrested him and recovered the money, police said.

A suspect entered the tanning salon on Nov. 25 wearing a winter jacket, gloves and mask and demanded money from the clerk, police said. He told the clerk he had a gun and kept his right hand in his pocket during the robbery. Once he had the money, the suspect fled on foot north through the parking lot.

Officer Brad Hollenback, of the South County Precinct, found the suspect a quarter of a mile west of the tanning salon in the 1200 block of Garden Circle and arrested him on suspicion of robbery. Police recovered $190 in money, gloves, a jacket and a ski mask.
