Police Blotter: Drug Users Arrested at South County Mall

The St. Louis County Police crime report from April 16 to April 30 includes incidents occurring in Mehlville, Oakville and Lemay.

April 16

Money was reported stolen from the 3200 block of Telegraph Road. 

April 17

Prescription medication was reported stolen from the 2700 block of Black Forest Drive. 

April 24

  • A white and tan, 2006 Ford F-250 was reported stolen from the 4300 block of Sunridge Drive.
  • A security guard badge and electronics were reported stolen from the 800 block of Zeiss Avenue.
  • Golf clubs were reported stolen from the 300 block of Phoenix Drive.  
  • Unknown suspects sprayed graffiti on a business's walls and fence on the 5400 block of Telegraph Road. 

April 25

  • Police received an anonymous report of a suspicious male at Meadow and Chauquette Drive. The description was identical to another report involving a disturbance on Meadow Avenue. Police discovered the suspect walking behind Kingston Drive and arrested him for trespassing. 
  • Police stopped a white Cadillac Escalade with no license plates at the and found two large bags of stolen children's clothing valued at $500. The driver was arrested and the vehicle was towed. 
  • Police arrested a suspect for felony stealing. Clothes and linens were stolen and recovered from the 3900 block of Lemay Ferry Road. It was the suspect's third offense.
  • Police are looking for a suspect that paid a victim 12 counterfeit $20 bills for a PlayStation. The suspect is described as a heavy-set white female with red hair and a large tattoo on one of her shoulders and in her late 30s or early 40s. She was driving a 1990s model black and gray Lexus. 
  • Electronics were reported stolen from the 7000 block of Lindbergh Boulevard.
  • Electronics, textbooks and cash were reported stolen from the 4800 block of Turley Mill Road.  

April 26

  • A victim was choked on the 300 block of Kingston Drive. 
  • Police stopped a Jeep Cherokee with no license plates near Lindbergh and Interstate 55 leaving the South County Mall. The two occupants were arrested for drug possession and stolen property. Police returned $58 in stolen clothing to the store. 
  • Police arrested two suspects for stealing $143 worth of merchandise from the South County Mall. The suspects also admitted to using heroin. 
  • Police arrested a suspect for domestic assault in the first degree on the 2200 block of Apple Bud Lane. The suspect broke the glass door at his sister's residence and told her he was there to kill her. The suspect then beat, stomped and choked her. She suffered numerous bruises and scrapes as well as severe head injuries. She drove herself to the hospital.  
  • Police ran a computer check for a vehicle traveling on South Broadway. The vehicle was stolen from Arnold. The suspect admitted to stealing the vehicle, saying he got into it to look for change and found the keys in it. 
  • Three tires were slashed on two separate vehicles between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. on the 2100 block of Telford Drive.
  • A suspect drove off without paying for $60.25 worth of gas on Union Road. Police suspect the vehicle was used in another drive-off on Telegraph Road. 
  • An unknown suspect stole $21.71 worth of merchandise and food from . 

April 27

  • Police arrested two suspects from Chicago, IL for using and possession of counterfeit credit cards at the South County Mall. Several thousand dollars in gift cards and merchandise was recovered. 
  • Lemay firefighters put out a car fire at River City Casino after it became fully engulfed. The fire started due to the car's battery. 

April 29

  • On April 13 and 14, a victim reported that someone rummaged through her vehicle on the 4300 block of Forest Dale Drive, but nothing was taken. The same instances occurred on April 29 on Wintergreen and Bellewood Drive. 
  • A female victim stated she was crossing the intersection of Telegraph and Arlee Avenue when a subject on a scooter traveling northbound struck the side of her vehicle.
  • A suspect used a rock to damage a silver Pontiac in a parking lot on the 4800 block of Colony Church Road. The suspect was taken into custody and kicked out the rear window of the police car.

April 30

  • At 3 a.m., a person broke into a residence on the 100 block of East Loretta Avenue through the locked back door. He entered the victim's bedroom and threatened them with a semi-automatic pistol, demanding money. The suspect took the victim's wallet containing a credit card and driver's license. 
  • A suspect was observed shoplifting from the South County Mall and ran when confronted. Police found the suspect hiding under a vehicle on the Best Buy parking lot and was taken into custody.
  • Police found two handguns after searching a vehicle at the intersection of Broadway and Velma Avenue. One was stolen out of St. Louis County and the other had the serial number partially filed off. 
  • Police found several meth precursors at a residence on the 100 block of Kayser Road. The items were in the closet and police believe they were left from the meth lab found there on April 3. The St. Louis County Drug Unit responded and seized the items.
