Police Blotter: Vehicular Assault on Telegraph Road

The St. Louis County Police crime report from July 30 to August 4 includes incidents occurring in Mehlville, Oakville and Lemay.

July 30

  • Police arrested a suspect for stealing an air conditioning unit from the 100 block of Holden Avenue. The unit was recovered.
  • Electronics were reported stolen from the 700 block of El Ray Court.
  • Electronics were reported stolen from the 2500 block of Albemarle Circle.  
  • Gift cards were reported stolen from the 4000 block of Royal Estates Drive. 
  • A firearm was reported stolen from the 4000 block of Birchwood Place. 

July 31

Money and medication was reported stolen from the 5600 block of Delintry Drive.

Aug. 1

  • A white, 2005 Yamaha Raptor ATV was reported stolen from the 9800 block of Gentry Avenue. 
  • A black, 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle and laptop was reported stolen from the 2900 block of Mid Course Drive. 

Aug. 2

  • Police arrested a suspect for assault in the second degree. The suspect struck a victim with their vehicle on the 5500 block of Telegraph Road. 
  • A white, 1995 Ford F-350 truck (76A53M), a 2007 Pace American trailer and tools were reported stolen from the 300 block of Placid Avenue.  
  • A desk, watch, money, camera equipment and electronics were reported stolen from the 2500 block of Senator Court. 

Aug. 3

  • Electronics and jewelry were reported stolen from the 400 block of Forder Road. The residents were gone between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. and came home to find the house ransacked. A Samsung television and jewelry was stolen. A neighbor saw a station wagon in the driveway during the day, but did not have a good description. 
  • A back flow valve was reported stolen from the 800 block of Regina Avenue. 

Aug. 4

LED lights were reported stolen from the 800 block of Wachtel Avenue. 

 

In Creve Coeur, a white man wearing a hardhat and traffic vest told a resident he needed to shut off the water for 5 to 7 minutes. The man sprayed something black in their bathroom sink, but did not steal anything. Police said the man had a Russian accent. 

In Ladue, two men posing as Missouri American Water employees left the house when asked for credentials. They were described as Hispanic males and one was wearing an orange shirt. One was thin with a mustache and the other was described as "pudgy."

In Sunset Hills, a 6-foot white man age 45 to 50 with short, curly brown hair told a resident he needed to turn off the water. He asked the victim to show him the next bathroom, which was the master bathroom, and again, sprayed black paint in the sink, turned on the water, and asked the victim to hold her hands under the water. As he backed out into the bedroom, he removed a yellow gold ring, valued at $25,000, and then left the residence. No vehicle was seen before or after. The man also had an accent police said, believed to be Bosnian.
