Police: Oakville Man Assaults Fiance, Fights Officers

St. Louis County Police said the man barricaded himself in the bathroom with the couple's 1-year-old child.

An Oakville man faces domestic assault and resisting arrest charges after he threw his fiancé to the ground and barricaded himself in the bathroom with the couple’s child, police said.

Noah Leyva, 40, of the 2800 block of Woodbridge Estates Drive in Oakville, was charged Wednesday with two counts of third-degree domestic assault and resisting arrest.

St. Louis County Police said Leyva grabbed his fiancé by the neck and forced her to the ground twice on Monday. St. Louis County prosecutors also said Leyva isolated the woman by refusing to allow her to use the telephone to call for help.
