Officers helped save the life of a man who collapsed from a heart attack at South County Center Monday, police said.
St. Louis County Police Department South County Precinct Officer Brad Hollenback found the elderly man shortly after he’d suffered a massive heart attack and collapsed around 4:55 p.m. near 100 South County Center Way.
Three police officers, including Hollenback, administered CPR on the man, who was then treated with a defibrillator kept in the mall.
The man regained his pulse and was breathing on his own before paramedics arrived, police said.
He was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital for further treatment.
