Update: Police Searching for South County Bank Robber

The man robbed 1st Missouri Credit Union at 10:16 a.m. Wednesday, St. Louis County Police said.

The 1st Missouri Credit Union in Lemay was robbed at about 10:16 a.m. Wednesday. St. Louis County Police released two photos of a suspect in the robbery at the credit union at 1690 Lemay Ferry Road. 

He is described as a white man in his early 30s with a goatee. He left driving a small to mid-size yellow Chevrolet, police said.

No weapons were displayed during the robbery.

Police stopped yellow vehicles in the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

Police said they recovered "a substantial amount of money" taken in the robbery. The cash was discovered at about noon on Highway 40, according to a news release.

Police withheld details about the amount of money, its discovery and the location as the investigation continues.
