Police: Thief in Oakville Arrested after Leaving ID Behind
St. Louis County Police arrested a suspect in connection with the numerous larcenies from unlocked cars in the 2700 block of China Lake Drive.
The St. Louis County Police arrested a suspect on suspicion of stealing after they found his identification card next to one of the many cars he broke into in Oakville earlier this month, police said.
Police used the ID card to find the suspect, and a search of his room revealed several stolen items, police said. The suspect admitted to breaking into several cars in the 2700 block of China Lake Drive on Nov. 5 from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. as well as to several similar incidents committed in the same area in the past. He was then arrested.
The South County Precinct recovered six GPS units, three iPods, a Dell laptop computer, a credit card and many other items, according to police reports.

Police also found oxycodone.
Victims can claim their property at the South County Precinct.
