South County Fire Claims 2nd Victim

Lindbergh Schools have set up a fund to benefit two students affected by the fire. Both are hospitalized.

Georgette Gapsch, 79, has died as a result of injuries from the house fire in South County early Tuesday morning, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch has reported. Gapsch’s grandson, Terry “T.J.” Gapsch, 38, died Tuesday.

Maci Gapsch, 11, was listed as critical Wednesday morning at Mercy Hospital St. Louis, and Mia Gapsch, 13, was in satisfactory condition. T.J. Gapsch was the girls’ father.

Both girls are students at Sperreng Middle School in the Lindbergh School District. The district has set up a fund to benefit the girls.
