Man Found Dead at Pepsi Plant from the Lemay Area

Police say a co-worker found the man trapped in a packing unit machine after returning from a break.

A worker is dead after an industrial accident at the Pepsi Co. bottling plant in north St. Louis. It happened a little before 9 p.m. Friday. 

St. Louis Police responded to a call about a person being trapped in a packing unit machine. The man was identified as  42-year-old Mensud DJelmo.

A co-worker found found him after returning from his break, according to police.

DJelmo, of Burnett Walk in the Lemay area, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The bottling plant is located at Union 70 Center Drive.
