Meth Trafficking Charges for South County Men

Police came to the home after the defendant's friends would not leave when requested.

A trespassing call turned into drug charges against two men in South County.

A homeowner told that Zachary N. Chatfield’s friends would not leave her home on the 10900 block of Coral Ridge Drive in Concord.

When police entered the homeowner’s basement on Nov. 25, they found 160 grams of methamphetamine and meth production ingredients and items, according to court documents. Two children under the age of 17 were in the home at the time, police said.

Chatfield, 22, who lives in the home, was charged Thursday with first-degree trafficking in drugs, possession of chemicals with intent to make meth and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Michael Moffitt, of the 11000 block of Torigney Drive, was also charged with first-degree trafficking in drugs, possession of chemicals with intent to make meth and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Chatfield’s bond was set at $20,000. Moffitt’s bond was set at $25,000.
