Man Charged $17,170 to Fake Credit Cards at River City Casino, Police Say

Norimasa Saito recently pleaded guilty to similar charges at Ameristar Casino.

A Japanese national is accused of getting $17,170 in cash advances on fake credit cards at River City Casino.

Norimasa Saito, 43, of Osaka, Japan, was charged Monday with five counts of fraudulent use of a credit card from April 2 to April 4, 2012.

Saito told police he had been approached by an unknown Chinese man who told him he would need an American credit card to get cash in the United States, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

The man took Saito to an unknown location where he printed out five credit cards with Saito’s name on them in exchange for $500, Saito told investigators.

Police said Saito identified the man on surveillance video at the River City Casino.

Previously, Saito pleaded guilty to similar charges that he charged $67,000 to fake credit cards at Ameristar Casino in St. Charles. He was sentenced to two years in prison on the St. Charles charges.
