Third Teen Charged in Mehlville Home Invasion

Semir Jahic, 16, was certified to stand trial as an adult. St. Louis County police said Jahic and two others entered a Mehlville home and robbed the resident at gunpoint.

A 16-year-old man was certified to stand trial as an adult and was charged Wednesday in a May 24 home invasion in Mehlville, the third person charged in the case.

Semir Jahic, 16, of the first block of Buckley Meadows Drive in Mehlville, was charged Wednesday with first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and first-degree burglary.

Jahic was 15 years old at the time of the home invasion, and was four days away from turning 16. In Missouri, anyone 17 years or older is tried as an adult.

St. Louis County Police said three teens – Jahic, Abbas Khliqdad and Adis Mujakic – entered the home in the 3600 block of Buckley Road armed with two handguns and a knife. They took cash at gunpoint from a man in the home, police said.

Originally, Police said Khliquad, of Affton, Mujakic, of Lemay, and a juvenile committed the robbery. 

Neighbors saw the three men entering the home’s back door wearing gloves and alerted St. Louis County Police. Officers arrived at the home shortly after the men left but were able to identify the men during an investigation, police said.

Jahic is being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center. Bail was set at $100,000.
