Two Dead In Weekend Crash Near River City Casino
Arnold resident 56-year-old Lawrence Coleman's tractor-trailer collided with 29-year-old Cedar Hill resident Matthew Barton's SUV. Both were killed.
Two people are dead after a tractor trailer and car collided early Saturday.
Fox 2 News is reporting the main entrance to the River City Casino area was closed for hours after a what the news outlet said was a "violent" crash at the intersection of South Broadway and River City Casino Blvd. It happened about 3:30 a.m. Investigators say an SUV was leaving the casino as a tractor-trailer, loaded down with beer, was driving down Broadway.
”A beverage delivery truck going south on Broadway at a reported high rate of speed impacted a passenger vehicle,” Lemay Fire District Assistant Chief Stephen Christeson to Fox 2 News.
Fox 2 News said the truck was driving at such a high speed for it's size, the collision impact startled people from more than 100-yards away. Click here to see video of people nearby describing the scene and sound.
