I-55 Car Crash Leaves Woman Seriously Injured

A car crash early Monday morning left one woman seriously injured and slowed traffic on Interstate 55 at approximately 9 a.m.
A 33-year-old woman driving a 2009 Dodge Caliber was traveling north on I-55 and swerved into another lane to avoid hitting a stopped car. The vehicle slid across all lanes of the highway and struck the concrete median wall just south of Meramec Bottom Road, according to information provided by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
