MoDOT Announces Regional Work Zones

The Missouri Department of Transportation has canceled the lane closures and repair work on the westbound Poplar Street Bridge this weekend due to the forecast of inclement weather. However, the eastbound I-70 ramp to the Poplar Street Bridge will still close from 11 p.m., Friday to 10 a.m., Saturday. There will not be access to the southbound Memorial Drive ramp to the Poplar Street Bridge during this same timeframe.

MoDOT urges motorists to use alternate routes such as the Eads, McKinley or Martin Luther King bridges. Also, use Metrolink and Metrobus as alternate transportation.

Two lanes will also close on westbound I-44 at Grand Boulevard from 5 a.m., to Noon, Sunday for repairs on the Grand Bridge.

In South St. Louis County this weekend, weather permitting, crews will have lanes closed on I-270 near I-44. The two left lanes close at 8 p.m. Friday. Early Saturday, those lanes will open and two right lanes will close until after noon Sunday. In addition the entrance ramp from Route 30 to I-270 will be closed from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. When this work is complete, northbound I-270 will be back to their normal four straight through lanes.
