Oakville

Of the 27,983 voters registered in Oakville, 22,131 people turned out to the polls, earning Oakville a 79 percent turnout rate.

In the race for president, 59.61 percent of voters voted for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. Barack Obama earned 38.88 percent, Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson earned 1.1 percent and Constitution Party candidate Virgil Goode earned .23 percent.

Here's who else won in Oakville, and by what percentage. Items in italics indicate Oakville winners who did not win the final, official tally:

  • U.S. Senator: Democrat Claire McCaskill, 51%
  • U.S. Representative: Republican Ann Wagner, 63%
  • Governor: Democrat Jay Nixon, 50.7%
  • Lieutenant Governor: Republican Peter Kinder, 55%
  • Secretary of State: Republican Shane Schoeller: 52%
  • State Treasurer: Democrat Clint Zweifel: 48% (Zweifel only won by 71 votes.)
  • Attorney General: Democrat Chris Koster, 50.96%
  • State Senator: Republican Jim Lembke, 61%
  • State Representative 94: Republican Cloria Brown, 50%
  • State Representative 95: Republican Marsha Haefner, 60%
  • County Council: Democrat Steve Stenger, 51%

Lemay

Of the 21,678 voters registered in Lemay, 14,825 turned out to vote, giving the township a 68.39 voter turnout percentage.

Barack Obama and Joe Biden won Lemay with 53.39 percent of the vote. Mitt Romney earned 44.29 percent, Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson earned 1.57percent and Constitution Party candidate Virgil Goode earned .32 percent.

  • U.S. Senator: Democrat Claire McCaskill, 63%
  • U.S. Representative: Democrat Glenn Koenen, 48% (Koenen won by 9 votes.)

  • Secretary of State: Democrat Jason Kander, 58%
  • State Treasurer: Democrat Clint Zweifel, 60%
