Sen. McCaskill's Staff Hosts Kitchen Table Talk Tuesday

Residents have an opportunity to speak with staff about concerns at the federal level they'd like to have relayed to the senator. Will you attend?

If there is something to need to get off your chest, or you have a concern for Sen. Claire McCaskill, Tuesday is your opportunity to get the message as close as possible to her.

Brendan Fahey one of McCaskill's staff will be hosting a "Kitchen Table Talk" in in the Mehlville area at the St. Louis County Library-Cliff Cave Branch. The library is located at 5430 Telegraph Rd. The event will start at 10 a.m., and last one hour.

Fahey said the purpose of this meeting is to reach out to constituents, listen to their thoughts and ideas about federal policies and legislation.

He said those ideas would be conveyed to McCaskill.

"These "Kitchen Table Talks" also serve, in part, to inform you of the services that are available through Sen. McCaskill's regional offices," Fahey said. "The senator's staff throughout the state is able to assist you on a range of federal government issues.

"If you are currently having an issue with a federal agency, I will be happy to discuss that with you and put you in touch with the member of the Senator's staff best suited to help with your issue."

The kitchen table talk in St. Charles County on Wednesday provided opportunity to residents concerned with West Lake Landfill radioactive waste contamination, and the Bridgeton Landfill underground fire burning to ask what the senator is doing at the federal level to control the smell and underground fire burning. The situation has residents in multiple cities including Bridgeton, Maryland Heights, Hazelwood and St. Charles and Unincorporated St. Louis County concerned.
