60Plus Members Attended Mehlville School District's Annual Barbecue

More than 200 guests were treated to a history play, musical performances and a lunch.

More than 200 community members made their way to for the annual 60plus barbecue. The Mehlville School District treated guests to a trip around the world, beginning with the fifth graders’ U.S. history play, “Historical Hysteria,” and then traveling to Africa, India and Australia through the third and fourth grade singing performances.

Following the entertainment, members of Beasley’s Student Council and Generous Jaguars service learning club served a barbecue lunch to the event’s guests while the school’s strings students provided musical accompaniment.

The 60plus barbecue, which is offered by the Mehlville School District as a benefit to its community members, was sponsored by the South County Kiwanis Club.

The 60plus Gold Card provides residents with access to Mehlville School District home sporting events, musical and theater performances, and four 60plus events each year at no cost. Residents 60 years of age or older can obtain a 60plus Gold Card by calling the communications department at 314-467-5153.
