Free Stroke Education Program

St. Anthony's Medical Center offers a free stroke education program, aimed at helping stroke victims and their loved ones know what to do when a stoke occurs.

The program will be presented by St. Anthony's neurologist Maheen Malik, M.D., along with a speech therapist, occupational therapist and physical therapist. Learn what the signs of a stroke are and the importance of minimizing the time between  the stroke's onset and when emergency treatment is given. The lecture will cover risk factors and prevention techniques, as well as treatment and rehabilitation options.

From 6 to 7 p.m., browse a variety of informational booths, including blood pressure screenings, stroke risk assesment and more. Light refreshments will be provided, and the lecture begins in the Great Room at 7 p.m.
