"I've Had a Stroke—Now What?"

This is the second program in the free stroke education series offered by St. Anthony's Medical Center and Crestview Senior Living this spring. The topic is the recovery process after you have had a stroke.

Speakers Sandy Lehn, an occupational therapist, and Anne Marie Lynch, a social worker, will talk about how stroke rehabilitation can improve lost strength and coordination. They will also discuss the grief process experienced by the patient and family after a stroke and offer some tips on working through it.

The presentation and a question-answer session will run from 7 to 8 p.m., with informational booths set up before and after. There will also be free blood pressure screenings and stroke risk evaluations.

Light refreshments will be provided, and participants can enter to win a free night’s stay at Grant’s Trail Lodge, a gift certificate for Joe Boccardi’s restaurant and a variety of gift baskets.
