Mehlville Graduation: "You Wish You Were 1-2"

The Mehlville High School Panthers celebrated the Class of 2012 Sunday at St. Charles Family Arena.

seniors could barely contain their excitement as the graduation ceremony ended and caps defied gravity at the St. Charles Family Arena Sunday. 

The 415 seniors leave behind a legacy of school spirit and service.

Assistant Principal Dr. Shannon Pike said the Green Pit cheering section hardly missed a game and students raised more than $1,000 for breast cancer awareness, collected items for the homeless and traveled to Joplin for tornado relief efforts.

“As sophomores, one of your fellow classmates made a t-shirt with a slogan on it that inspired your class,” Pike said. “The saying, ‘You wish you were 1-2,’ signifies the pride you have in your class, your school, but most of all, yourself.”

The Class of 2012 at Mehlville received more than $2 million in scholarships and amassed honors from the Missouri Scholars 100 and the National Merit Scholar programs.
