Mehlville School District Earns Distinction in Performance Award

The district met all of the state's criteria for the award.

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education awarded the the Distinction in Performance commendation.

The award, based on the district’s , recognizes achievements for the 2010-2011 school year.

Mehlville has received this honor for the last eight out of 10 years.

“To qualify for Distinction in Performance, a school district must be achieving at a high level and continuously making progress at all grade levels,” said Superintendent Eric Knost in a release. “I am proud of the strides our students and staff continue to make on a daily basis. As a district, we have worked hard to achieve the Distinction in Performance recognition, and I am confident we will continue to earn this award in the future.”

Distinction in Performance is evaluated by the state’s . These standards evaluate accreditation for schools across the state and are based on , graduation and attendance rates and ACT scores. The district met all 14 of these standards.
