Oakville Ranks as One of Missouri's Best High Schools

That's according to the U.S. News and World Report, which listed Oakville High School as the 24th best high school in the state.

Oakville High School made the 2013 list of top-ranked Missouri schools released by U.S. News & World Report on Tuesday.

The magazine placed Oakville as No. 24 in its report of 2013 Best High Schools Rankings. It's a big step forward for the high school, which didn't gain such recognition in 2012's rankings.

U.S. News collaborated with the American Institutes for Research, a D.C.-based organization, to rank student performance on such criteria as state-mandated assessments, how the schools educated minority or poor students, and performance on advanced placement exams in order to develop the rankings.
