Oakville's Tina Haberberger Plays Big Against St. Joe

Oakville's soccer team fell short against St. Joe despite a good game from Oakville junior Tina Haberberger.

After opening the first two games with a loss to Jackson, MO and win against rival Mehlville, Oakville fell short against the St. Joe Angels on Tuesday.

It was the opening game for St. Joe, who won the game 5-0.  Lexi Boschert, Ali Magaletta, Kaley Nieters, Kelly McLaughlin and Haley Kavanaugh all scored for the Angels.

Even with allowing five goals into the net, Oakville junior Tina Haberberger played a great game at goalie without much support from the defense.

“She did a good job for us. It could have been worse,” Coach Dave Robben said. “St. Joe is a good team. We have one senior. They finished third in state. They are a good team.”

With one senior on the team, Robben said he's still experimenting to determine who can step up for Oakville.
