Point Students Win Optimist Presidential Awards
Point students Cassie Berggren and Nick Pepper won awards from the Mehlville Optimist Club.
Two students received the Mehlville Optimist Club Presidential Awards for academics and achievement.
Cassie Berggren was recognized for Academic Success while Nick Pepper received the Special Achievement award.
The Presidential Awards have been given to elementary school students since 1989. School principals and teachers nominate children, who receive a framed certificate, an Optimist pen and a $25 check.
