School District Seeks Finance Committee Member

The applicant will offer advice on the district's financials.

The Mehlville School District is seeking a member of the community to join their financial committee. There's one seat available on the committee, which helps to "provide public oversight of the district's accounting and finance procedures," according to the district website.  

The committee, created in 2008, provides information to district administration and the Board of Education. Its responsibilities include:

• Submitting recommendations regarding the debt level

• Monitoring current and future capital needs

• Projecting operating revenues and expenditures

• Offering recommendations such as strategies for increasing funding, reducing expenses and maintaining accountability  

A background in finance or accounting is recommended. Applicants must fill out the form available on the district's website and return it to Chief Financial Officer Noel Knobloch at knoblochn@mehlville.k12.mo.us by Oct. 21. For additional questions, contact Jennie Mullen at (314) 467-5202.
