Aside from Key Club, Bayer plays the flute in the Oakville band. She said some of her fondest memories come from the band, especially this year taking on a leadership role as drum major.

After high school, she will attend Truman State University and major in nursing.

Alex Riddle will attend Meramec before moving on to the University of Missouri-Rolla or the University of Kansas to study computer science and robotics.

He said without a doubt his favorite times at Mehlville were spent planning the Special Olympics track meet held at the school every year.

The presentations were in conjunction with the district’s 60+ Club event. The 60+ Club is a group open to anyone in the community over 60 and has four events a year at different schools.

More than 260 people attended the year-end BBQ at to learn about the scholarship recipients.

Also, residents can contact the district’s communication office at 314-467-5153 for a membership card, which gives them free entry into any district event.
