Washington Middle Fine Arts Show Displays Student Artwork

The event featured a year's work of artwork from sixth, seventh and eight grade students.

A school year’s worth of creativity and hard work was on display at  at the school’s end-of-the-year Fine Arts Show. The work of the school’s sixth through eighth grade art students was featured at the event, giving WMS students, teachers and parents an opportunity to enjoy the students’ artistic accomplishments. The school’s band students performed at the event as well.

“The students have been working really hard this year, and the Fine Arts Show is a nice way to celebrate what they have accomplished,” said WMS art teacher Gaby Naus in a statement.

The Fine Arts Show also gave the WMS community an opportunity to view several different types of student artwork, including projects such as ceramics, painting, tile designs, drawings and basket weavings. After observing the students’ artwork, attendees voted on their favorite piece, awarding eighth graders Anthony Donley, Alexis Johnson and Alex White the three “Best in Show” honors.
