Whiz Kid’s Accomplishment: Scored a 22 on the ACT as part of Duke University’s Talent Identification Program (TIP)

Whiz Kid’s Key to Awesomeness: Jacob Kauffmann’s past academic performance gave him the golden ticket to participate in the esteemed Talent Identification Program from Duke University. His ACT test score of 22 propelled him to “Grand Recognition.”

“It was great to see what the ACT is like, so when I take it again in high school, I’ll know and will be able to do even better,” Kauffmann said. He mentioned that the most difficult part of the test was the science section—but now that he knows what to expect, he doesn’t foresee any future difficulties.

Kauffmann is a busy middle school student, participating in Student Council and the Newspaper Club, for which he writes book reviews. His favorite author at the moment is Eoin Colfer, who is most famous for his Artemis Fowl series.
