Key to Awesomeness:  Melina Delkic was born in Schweinfurt, Germany, but doesn’t remember much about the country or the language. Today, however, she has conquered high school German II the old-fashioned way: by paying attention in class and occasionally studying at home. “Sometimes, I have trouble remembering the articles and some vocabulary words, but that’s about it,” Delkic said. While German may seem harsh to some, Delkic has a particular affinity for the language and loves its sound.

Delkic’s diligence paid off in a big way, and in a few months she will be heading to Germany. “I’m excited to see how the people live in Germany. I want to shop, of course, but I also want to see the Berlin wall, the castles and other interesting historical sites,” Delkic said.
