Area Football Players Selected for All-Conference Honors

The Suburban South and Suburban West Conference name their all-conference teams.

The St. Louis area was shut out in 2011 when it comes to state football championships as John Burroughs fell in the Class 3 game, MICDS in the Class 4 game, Kirkwood in the Class 5 game and CBC in the Class 6 contest last weekend at the Edward Jones Dome.

But several area football players were honored as the picks were announced for the all-conference teams in the Suburban South and Suburban West Conferences.

In the Suburban West, Lindbergh defensive back Grant Krueger was named the defensive player of the year.
