Trained staff members of St. Anthony's Medical Center's emergency department will be offering free bicycle helmet fittings for adults and children. Reduce your risk of injury to the head and face when out riding your bike this summer, and keep yourself and your family out of the grisly statistic of 800 bicyclists killed every year, two-thirds of which are due to head and face injuries.
Fittings are offered on the first Tuesday of every month until October, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the library of Anthony House, right behind St. Anthony's Hospital. Participants receive a bag of goodies and an informational pamplet on fitting your own helmet in the future. If you need a helmet, you can purchase one at the fitting for $10 (cash only).
