Lindbergh Pulls Out Last-Minute Win Over Mehlville

Flyers' Jordan Goodman throws 70-yard touchdown pass to Grant Krueger with 1:32 left to lead Lindbergh to heart-stopping win.

The Lindbergh Flyers pulled out one of the most exciting wins of the 2011 season Friday night at Flyers Field when senior Jordan Goodman threw a 70-yard touchdown pass to teammate *Grant Krueger with just over a minute left in the game to lead the Flyers to a 20-15 victory over visiting Mehlville.

The Panthers had just taken the lead moments earlier when backup quarterback Brendan Moore scored on a 1-yard sneak and teammate Patrick Partee added a two-point conversion run to give Mehlville a 15-14 advantage.

But Lindbergh pulled off a near miracle with Goodman’s heave to Krueger that probably saved the Flyers' season, and gives them a shot at making the state playoffs if they can defeat SLUH next Friday night.
