Mehlville Assistant Football Coach Steps Up to Head Position

Physical education teacher Kent Heinemann was named Mehlville High School's new head coach.

Mehlville High School announced physical education teacher Kent Heinemann would be taking over the position of head football coach. Heinemann has been a football coach at the school for eight years, according to a news release from the school district.

Heinemann is no stranger to the Mehlville School District--he graduated from Oakville High School in 1996 before going on to play football at Lindenwood University.  He and his wife, Sarah, have five children.

He also coached football for two years at Lindbergh and Kirkwood high schools, according to the news release.
