Mehlville Looks To End Three-Game Losing Streak

The Panthers will try to rebound from last week's 34-17 loss to Oakville when they play 0-3 Fox on Friday night.

The Mehlville Panthers host Suburban West Conference foe Fox on Friday and both teams will look to end the three-game losing streaks they carry into the matchup.

After winning its season opener over Northwest, Mehlville (1-3 overall, 1-3 in the Suburban West) has dropped its last three games by an average of 18 points per game. The last Friday.

Mehlville will look for senior QB Jeff White to regroup the offense after to a knee injury in the Lafayette game. White has completed 21 of his 52 pass attempts this season for 240 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions.

Brown led the team in rushing with 45 attempts for 358 yards, an 8-yard-per-carry average. He has also scored five total touchdowns – four running and one receiving.

The Mehlville defense will try to lock down a Fox offense that has mightily struggled through the Warriors’ first three games. Fox (0-3 overall, 0-2 in the Suburban West) has scored only nine points this season in losses to Parkway South, Ritenour and Lindbergh.

The Warriors had an extra week to prepare for this game, as they were off last week. Fox will look to run early and often against Mehlville. The Warriors have attempted 106 runs and only 28 passes.

Fox RBs Tyler Giunta, Cameron Blanton and Jimmy Huskey have a combined 456 yards this season. Sophomore QB Tyler Thompson is 14 of 28 for 109 yards, no touchdowns and one interception.
