Mehlville Snaps Losing Streak With Big Win Over Lindbergh
Panther defense was magnificent, posting near-shutout in 14-2 win over host Flyers.
The Mehlville High football team put an end to its seven-game losing streak Friday night at Flyers Field on South Lindbergh, as the Panthers put together perhaps their best defensive performance of the season, and delivered just enough big plays on offense as well, to pull out a 14-2 road win over host Lindbergh High.

Junior kicker Austin Massey connected on two clutch field goals in the early going to get the Panthers on the board, while fellow junior Brendan Morrow added a sensational 43-yard touchdown run to give Mehlville the cushion it needed, as it put the game away in the second half.
The Flyers got their only points early in the fourth quarter, when a host of Lindbergh defensive players tackled a Mehlville ballcarrier in his own end zone.
