Oakville Hockey Falls 5-3 to SLUH

The Tigers will face the Jr. Bills again on Saturday.

Steve Farina’s two goals were not enough to overcome St. Louis University High in the first-of-two state semifinal playoff games for the Mid States Hockey Challenge Cup.

The Tigers lost 5-3 after a scoreless third period and will face the Jr. Billikens again Saturday at 8:30 p.m. at Hardee’s IcePlex in Chesterfield.

The team must win that game plus a 10-minute mini-game immediately following to advance to the finals March 7, where they’ll face either CBC or Chaminade at the Scottrade Center.
