Simokaitis and Martin Make First Team All-Conference

The two seniors from Oakville and Mehlville were recognized as stand-outs in the Suburban West Conference.

The Suburban West Conference announced its all-conference honors and 14 and baseball players were recognized for their exceptional athletic abilities.

Pitcher Austin Simokaitis from Mehlville and utility player C.J. Martin from Oakville were both named to the first team. Simokaitis started at third his junior year and transitioned to a starting pitcher this season.

Martin primarily played first base for the Tigers, but also pitched in key games.

Panther sophomore Dylan Okenfuss and seniors Brandon Zufall and Kurt McGuire were named the to second team all-conference.

Oakville had two players on the second team, outfielder Greg Gralike and catcher Tommy Breunig.

Chris Janssen, Nick Hummel, Will Miller, Brian Whaley, Austin Kretzer, Avery Anderson and Corey Chambliss were Tigers and Panthers selected for honorable mention.
