Local Kid Breaks 34-Year-Old Ozark Swimming Record

Fourteen year old Nick Alexander broke three-time Olympian Tom Jager's record.

The Ozark Swimming 200 Meter Backstroke record was 34 years at the top until local guy Nick Alexander, a member of FAST (Flyers Aquatic Swim Team), broke it recently.

Tom Jager, a three-time Olympian held the record, 2:12.43, and Alexander beat it a 2:08.79 time.  Alexander also broke his own record in the 200 Meter Individual Medley with a time of 2:14.53, according to Matt Wever, a FAST board member.
