Oakville Pool Closed After Discovery of E. coli

The pool at Black Forest Apartments in Oakville was closed for a day after county health inspectors discovered E. coli. The pool was reopened after the bacteria was removed.

Widely-used public pools are often safer than apartment or neighborhood pools, Chris Hayes from FOX-2 reports

Hayes discovered that 18 apartment and condo pools had been shut down for at least a day due to unsafe conditions after being inspected by the St. Louis County Department of Health.

The pool at in Oakville was among those that were closed because of damaged drains and the presence of E. coli, FOX-2 reports.
