Key to Awesomeness: Looking at Jocelyn Wallinger’s planner, there are not many blank spaces. She is very active at her church, St. Lucas United Church of Christ, where she has been instrumental in many service projects such as home meal deliveries and urban missionary projects. She helped plan a mission trip to Atlanta, GA, and was responsible for all details such as fundraising, budgeting and travel arrangements. She even managed to squeeze in a day trip to Stone Mountain for the volunteers.

A senior at Mehlville High School, Wallinger ranks academically in the top 10 students in her graduating class. Her favorite subjects are history and psychology, but her college and career plans are still up in the air. She is also on both the school track and golf teams.

In Girl Scouts, Wallinger is at the Ambassador level where she is very active in community projects. One of her favorites is a Christmas program called the Little People’s Workshop where she collects gifts that children can pick from and give as presents. Last year she went on a Girl Scout cruise to Mexico.
