I took my car to Lindy's for a state safety inspection. I was charged $36 dollars for the inspection. Later I realized that I had been charged $12 for the safety inspection and $24 for the emissions inspection. I did not request an emissions inspection, as I had been granted an exemption by the state.
When I returned to Lindy's to get a refund for the cost of the emissions inspection, the owner, Mr. John Bardol, refused to refund the money. His reason was that the money had already gone to the state and it would not come out of his pocket even though he charged me for a service that I did not request. I suppose he believes the money should come out of my pocket for his error.
I will not do further business with Lindy's, nor will my stepfather and mother who have been regular customers of Lindy's for many years.
