No, Igor: If it comes out of their mouths it is the truth. You on the other hand have to proveRead More everything you say. At least that's the way it seemed when I last did jury duty. Hypocrisy.
Igor July 4, 2014 at 05:27 pm
Last time I had jury duty, the judge giving the instructions told us that when listening toRead More testimony, the police testimony holds no more credence than the average citizen. If you fight a ticket, guess who the judge is going to believe?

According to William A. Niskanen, one of the architects of Reaganomics, "Reagan delivered onRead More each of his four major policy objectives, although not to the extent that he and his supporters had hoped", and notes that the most substantial change was in the tax code, where the top marginal individual income tax rate fell from 70.1% to 28.4%, and there was a "major reversal in the tax treatment of business income", with effect of "reducing the tax bias among types of investment but increasing the average effective tax rate on new investment". Roger Porter, another architect of the program, acknowledges that the program was weakened by the many hands that changed the President's calculus, such as Congress.[2][21] President Reagan, has remained popular as an antitax hero despite raising taxes eleven times over the course of his presidency, all in the name of fiscal responsibility.[22] Reagan ultimately raised taxes more times than he cut them.[23] According to Paul Krugman, "Over all, the 1982 tax increase undid about a third of the 1981 cut; as a share of GDP, the increase was substantially larger than Mr. Clinton's 1993 tax increase."[10] According to historian and domestic policy adviser Bruce Bartlett, Reagan's tax increases over the course of his presidency took back half of the 1981 tax cut. Though since the Reagan tax reductions, top marginal tax rates have remained lower than at any point in US history since 1931, when the top marginal rate was raised from 25% to 63%. [24]

It's not the number of times that count, it's the size of the resulting cuts, and txes dropped underRead More Reagan, and economy boomed. Reagan's tax increases were part of a deal with Democrats to reduce spending. The taxes went up but the spending cuts never occurred. Just like Reagan's amnesty was supposed to be tied to border enforcement. Reagan's two biggest mistakes involved trusting Democrats to hold up their end of the deal. Those of us who remember that will never be fooled again.

Let's get to the point. What Jon Daniel tweeted was not true parody (or impersonation) at all.Read More Political parody should mimic the target's personality and actions, not present unrealistic scenarios that bear no resemblance to his behavior. For an example of true parody, see the Onion's current take-off of Eric Cantor. What Daniel did was nasty and unimaginative.

Democrats and Republicans one and the same on the county council. Both = UN Agenda. More GovernmentRead More control to push everyone where they want to place them.Time for Democrats to wake up to the fact that their heart to really help people have turned into only helping the elite and time for the Republicans to wake up to the fact that they are also only helping the elite.

A nice neat explanation of this "TAX" in disguise of a penalty--- This is Not aRead More "Penalty"--- It is a "TAX". Collected on your income tax returns filed in 2015. It is a TAX because that's how the supreme court approved this mandate. The only way obamacare became constitutional is by Justice Roberts labeling it a TAX. (Even though the law passed congress as a penalty) Another one of those lies of this President. The actual law called it a penalty. So, you all are paying a TAX. THE LARGEST TAX INCREASES IN HISTORY WILL BE OBAMACARE. (Over $1,000 per year) COMING! Every man woman and Child will pay this tax. Or you buy insurance and become another Welfare recipient disguised as "Health care rights". Those only making $19,000 per year will pay it. (And Mr O said he would never RAISE taxes on those making under $250,000. Does anyone want to refute this? An Excellent explanation of this Government mandate. (Disguised as a Penalty)

This article states: "One worry is that the lure of "free" may tempt people to signRead More up for a plan that isn’t right for them." WHAT? How could anything "free" not be right? Let me suggest the reason insurance companies are not promoting "free" is because IT's NOT FREE! DUH!!! Having to sign up for anything "free" leaves me wondering how many people are really paying for it. Free insurance does not get you "health care". Only a Doctor or Hospital or Drug RX mfgr can give you that. This is like getting a Car Free ---but without the motor. We all await the big long wait periods standing in line to get your "Free" heart transplant or Free surgery as society scrambles to pay more for VIP surgery service. Pay more-Get to the front of the line or the game of musical chairs is what the health care industry is transforming to. We all know how long the lines become when something is "Free" don't we?. 2nd class health care is right around the corner. Most of you reading this will soon experience the loss of your own employers health insurance as many employers will send you to this "free" health insurance and gladly pay the $2,000 annual cost for your "free" 2nd class health care. Good luck on finding the Doctor who would service those free Bronze plans. Finally, does anyone really believe someone who cannot afford to buy health insurance today, could afford to pay anything for any health care? NO! 7 million Healthy people needed to sign up just to support the health bills for those freebies. What happens when most of those healthy people start having major health bills? More TAXATION to support the system. More and more Taxation until every one of you work only to pay for another's health expenses. No regard for sex, drinking, drug habits, driving lifestyles having any cost factor. It's Free and we all live in a free do anything lifestyle. Someone else will pay for it. What a great country this USA has become. Gullible sheep you have all become. Lured is an appropriate description of what is taking place in this fiasco. When will we start seeing the truth articles stating the massive $trillions of dollars "FREE" will cost all of society. (Taxing the businesses will eventually certainly be paid by YOU!) So, the President will blame the Cereal companies and bad insurance companies or Big-OIL as they raise prices to pay for this "FREE" health care. How stuck-on-stupid gullible uninformed Americans can survive this mess is beyond explanation. This is America and those Mean Rich people will still raise their product prices to actually have YOU pay for your Free health premiums.
